A
little bit about me...
My name is Aaron Wexler. I am 33 years old and have been a Colorado resident
since 2002. I got my bachelors degree from Arizona State University in 2000.
I was working in the photo industry for several years when I moved here to
Denver. Just about the time I moved here the industry started to go down
hill. I began to get frustrated and started to ask myself "if you could
do anything else what would it be"? The answer was easy ...I would
fly. It was something I have always wanted to do so I started lessons. I
have been a pilot now for several years and I love it!
When the time came for me to become a flight instructor the regional airlines
needed pilots and were hiring them straight out of school. I had a decision
to make ...should I go to the airlines and start building turbine time
or should I become a flight instructor? Although I was tempted to apply to
the airlines teaching is something I have always wanted to do. There is just
something great about sharing a passion like this with someone else. It is
something I truly love and not something I am in a hurry to leave.
I was fortunate enough to have some great instructors that instilled in
me the importance of not only the safety aspects of flying, but also the
great joys that come with it. I believe that I do them justice by instilling
in my students that same respect and love.
I fly both out of Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport and Centennial Airport so no matter what part of Denver you are in I can meet you close to your home. I have my commercial, multi-engine, and instructor rating as well as my instrument instructor rating with over 500 hours of total time.
